PM to visit Jammu on July 17

JAMMU, July 11: PM Narendra Modi will attend centenary birth celebrations of late veteran Congress leader and former Minister Girdhari Lal Dogra at Zorawar Singh auditorium on July 17 morning.
Official sources said Modi will reach Technical Airport, Jammu from New Delhi in the morning and will be received among others by Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. He will straightway proceed to Zorawar Singh auditorium and attend centenary birth celebration of Dogra, who had served as Finance Minister of the State and also held other important positions in the Congress.
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will also join the function among others. Dogra was father-in-law of Jaitley.
Meanwhile, Additional DGP (Security) VK Singh today reviewed security arrangements for the visit of the PM with top police officers.
Sources said the PM will return to New Delhi after attending the function. There was no other function in the itinerary of Modi.
