PM holds PRAGATI video conference with Chief Secretaries

JAMMU, Feb 17: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi today held his monthly video conference under his Pro-active Governance and Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) initiative, with Union Secretar-ies of various Ministries and Chief Secretaries of States.
Chief Secretary J&K, B R Sharma also participated in the video conference.
Prime Minister reviewed the progress with respect to automation of RTO operations in the country. He stressed expediting delivery of online services utilizing VAHAN & SARATHI software so that citizens are able to apply for driving license and vehicle registration related services online and quality of services at RTOs improve.
Prime Minister also reviewed status of Mission Indradhanush which aims to immunize all children against seven vaccine preventable diseases namely Diphtheria, Whooping Cough (Pertussis), Tetanus, Polio, Tuberculosis, Measles and Hepatitis B by 2020.
Prime Minister urged Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to bring in more aggression in the said programme so that the target is achieved before 2020.
