PM has special concern for army personnel: Mahajan

KATHUA, Apr 16: BJP Government at the Centre led by PM Modi has time and again proved that it is very much concerned towards those who have dedicated their lives for the safety and security of the nation and the decision of one rank one pension was one of the steps taken to testify this stand of the government.
This was stated by Rakesh Mahajan, Incharge BJP All Cells, J&K, while addressing an Election Campaign Meeting in support of Dr. Jitendra Singh, BJP candidate for Doda-Kathua Lok Sabha seat at village Palli here.
Retired army officers and Jawans were present on the occasion.
“The decision to revise pension of Armed Forces pensioners was a vital step in fulfilling the promise made with defence personnel of the country,” the BJP leader said adding: “PM Modi has special affinity towards army personnel and he celebrates Diwali along borders with Jawans and officers.”
Mahajan praised Dr. Jitendra Singh for his dedication to governance and setting new standards in serving the people.
Lt. Gen. (Retd) R.K Sharma, spokesperson, BJP, J&K lauded government’s efforts in strengthening India’s defense capabilities and modernizing the armed forces to effectively counter emerging threats.
