JAMMU, Apr 19: A meeting of the Plus 2 PSC Lecturers (direct recruits) of different districts of Jammu province was organized by the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the Plus 2 PSC Lecturers’ Organization here today to highlight their demands and evolve a consensus for the future strategy to achieve the goals.
During the meet, criticism and suggestions were invited from the open audience to better serve the cause of lecturers in general and direct recruits in particular. The house resolved that for the said purpose CWC should be revamped and expanded and its units at the district and grass root levels should be framed for better communication and struggle. The demands, highlighted in the meeting, included Running Grade/TBP for Lecturers, reorganization of the Department, placement of Principals in the grade pay of Rs 6600, restoration of 40 percent quota in the Higher Education, additional increments in favour of M Phil/ Ph D lecturers etc.
The house called upon the genuine and credible voices across the whole lecturers’ cadre to come forward, sit and deliberate in the larger interest so that the attempts of traditional vested interests to befool the whole cadre do not succeed.
The meeting was attended by S Dalbir Singh Sudan, Raphael, Sunil Khajuria, Manzoor Katoch, Manjit Chib, Dr Rajneesh, Dr Rippy, Mohinder Kumar, Karan Maini, Pawan Kumar, Sunil Dubey, Kewal Krishan, Ajai Biloria and Rakesh Choudhary.
