UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: Monthly meeting of the district Udhampur unit of All J& K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, district president of the Forum.
In the meeting, the speakers drew attention towards large number of incharge incumbents in the School Education Department, who have been awaiting their regularization for years together. They demanded their regularization at the earliest and also a ban on piecemeal transfers.
The speakers also expressed resentment over the delay in adjustment of newly selected Lecturers and engagement of PG candidates in various subjects and rued that the apathetic attitude of the concerned officers has adversely affected the study of students. They wondered as to how the Government can expect good results when transfers orders of the teaching staff are being issued at the time when academic activities are in full swing in all the schools. They also demanded uploading of all transfer orders on the official websites issued at various levels by the Department.
The speakers also resented that even after the lapse of more than a year and despite highlighting the demand repeatedly, the orders for the sanction of incentives in favour of those Principals, Lecturers, Masters, Teachers etc who were engaged to run extra classes during the summer vacation last year, have not been issued so far by DSEJ while such orders have been issued by the DSEK long ago. They urged for the personal intervention of the Education Minister and Secretary School Education Department for early issuance of orders in this respect. They also demanded rationalization of staff in the schools in accordance with the roll and subject need.
Those who attended the meeting, included V P Sharma, Arunesh Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Mohan Lal Sharma, Ram Murti, Luxmi Kant, Ravi Kanchan, Parjesh Gupta, Rakesh Gupta, Pawan Kumar, Amrit Lal, Sat Pal, Bhim Sein and others.
