Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum urges LG for repatriation of J&K employees from Ladakh

JAMMU, Aug 2: Monthly meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum was held through teleconferencing under the chairmanship of its President, Deepak Sharma, wherein the Forum demanded repatriation of all J&K Government employees from Ladakh region, including those from Education Department immediately and also raised other issues concerning Plus Two Cadre.
Deepak Sharma said that a large number of Lecturers and other Education Department employees from UT of J&K are serving in Ladakh region and have not been transferred back to their respective home districts even after completion of stipulated period of one year in hard areas. He further said that even option was sought from the J&K Government employees to choose between the two UTs of J&K and Ladakh on bifurcation of J&K State but no exercise has been done in this regard to give a sigh of relief to the employees.
Deepak Sharma urged Lieutenant Governor J&K, G C Murmu for his personal intervention for immediate repatriation of all J&K Government employees in general and Education employees in particular right from lecturers to CEOs including those recruited under SRO-202 to their home districts in J&K UT as Ladakh is no more a part of J&K.
Forum further hoped that burning issues and grievances of 10+2 cadre like Assured Career progression (ACP)/ Time Bound Promotion and Induction Quota into KAS in favour of Plus Two Lecturers till the Education Administrative Service (EAS) is constituted is be resolved by Principal Secretary Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon.
Others issues like removal of pay anomalies of Principals and senior officers and Non vacational status to Principals/ Head of Schools, provision of charge allowance in all promotions/placements, restoration of 40 percent college quota, provision of earned leave to teaching community and regularisation of Physical Education Lecturers and removal of their pay anomaly were also hoped to get resolved soon on priority basis.
Others, who participated in teleconferencing, included N S Jamwal, R S Slathia, Dr Sushma , Anil Sharma, Sanjay Bhagat, Pradeep Singh, Anwar Khan, Ashok Sharma, Jatinder Sethi, Fazal Hussain, Anis Ahmed, Imtiaz Qazmi, AR Giri and Ramesh Thakur.
