JAMMU, Nov 27: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum held State body meeting under the chairmanship of its State president NS Jamwal.
While speaking, Jamwal said that some elements are trying to sabotage the process of redressal of various issues and grievances of the Plus 2 cadre and called upon the cadre to expose such elements.
He appealed the Director School Education that a committee may be framed to look into the serious allegations leveled against some members of the Forum and others officials and if proved guilty should be penalised.
Jamwal apprised the members that Deputy CM has assured the release of promotion list of senior Lecturers to Principals, non-vocational status to the Principals, promotion of Lecturers to senior Lecturers beside extension of running grade benefit to the plus 2 Lecturers etc.
He further said that the re-organization of the School Education Department is the need of the hour. The orders for 40 per cent college quota, benefits of Time Bound Promotions (TBP), incentives for highly qualified Plus 2 Lecturers, grade pay in favour of Principals of Higher Secondary Schools should be issued on priority to avoid unrest among the teaching community, he demanded.
Among others present were Charan Dass, Tarsem Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Talib Hussain, Deepak Sharma, etc.
