Plus 2 Lecturers demand time bound promotion, regularisation

JAMMU, Oct 7: A meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of its President Deepak Sharma to discuss various issues and demands pertaining to Plus Two cadre.
The meet urged Governor for his personal intervention to facilitate sanction of Assured Career Progression scheme (ACP)/Time Bound Promotion in favour of Plus Two Cadre. Deepak Sharma informed the house that Advisor Farooq Khan has already asked Administrative Department to put up the proposal in this regard in next SAC Meeting on the analogy of other gazetted cadres i.e. Three Time Bound Promotions within a span of 20 years to remove age long stagnation in the cadre. He appealed the Commissioner Secretary to expedite the process for timely redressal of this long pending issue of the cadre.
Forum also demanded expediting of regularisation process of all Incharge incumbents/retirees including Lecturers, Principals, CEOs and Joint Directors as per the decision taken in SAC as the community has suffered a lot for want of it over a varying period of time from 2 to 12 years.
Forum also demanded immediate posting of already promoted left over Lecturers for smooth functioning of the Department besides release of list of Senior Lecturers as per one-third cadre strength.
Other demands raised in the meeting, included revocation of SRO-202 for all Government employees, provision of Earned Leave in favour of teaching community, restoration of 40 percent college quota, non vacational status to Plus Two Principals and removal of their pay disparity, regularization and removal of pay disparity of Physical Education Lecturers.
The meeting was attended by N S Jamwal, Anil Sharma, R S Slathia, Pardeep Singh, Sanjay Bhagat, Dr Ashok, Jyoti Parkash, Anwar Khan and Kewal Kumar.
