PLS organizes literary meet

JAMMU, Feb 2: A literary meeting- cum- election of president of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd), Jammu was conducted at KL Saigal Auditorium of Writers’ Club, Cultural Academy here today.
During the first phase of the meeting, Dr Baljit Singh Raina was unanimously selected as president of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu during the election proceedings undertaken under the supervision of Ajit Singh Mastana as Election Commissioner for the elections.
A Punjabi `Kavi Darbar’ was conducted during the second phase of the meet. The Kavi Durbar was presided over by Ajit Singh Mastana, a well known Ghazal writer from Kashmir. Dr Monojit, former president of PLS-J, Jang S Verman and Dr Baljit Singh Raina shared the dias.
Harjit Singh Uppal, HS Upasak, Bachan Bharti, Balwinder Singh, Balwinder Singh Deep, Manjit Singh Kaamea, Pritam Singh Anjaan, Davinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Bhupinder Singh Raina, Pyasa Anjum, Gurpreet Kaur, Rajvir Singh, JPS Azad, Harsimran Singh, Prabhjot Kour, Jang S. Verman, Dr Monojit and Ajit Singh Mastana were present.
AS Mastana appreciated the poets for presenting the quality poetry on different topics and concerns.
Earlier, Dr Monojit, welcomed the poets, members of the Sabha and the audience. Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL, Dr Momojit and new president of PLS expressed their views on the fixing targets and targets in the tenure of the new president.
