Sir,
Many a time, we find loss of human life or a serious injury to the passengers who have a fall while travelling in matadors either at the time of entry into or at the time of getting down from these commercial vehicles only due to sheer negligence of the driver. The driver, of his own, can waste plenty of time at so many unwanted stoppages but he becomes very cruel and inhuman, while dealing with passengers at above said two occasions, shouting on them “Jaldi Karo’’ with the result, in the hurried up movements ,the imbalanced passengers fall down either inside the vehicle or outside from the running vehicle and sustain serious injuries or at times these falls bring the end of the life for these thrown out. The requirement is, to stop the vehicle at a ‘ proper stop’ and give sufficient time to all passengers to settle down , this can easily be ensured by the conductor who should blow a whistle for the driver to move only after seeing everyone, absolutely in safe position but the pity is, that the things are happening at an angle of 180 degree out, as we have yet to see a conductor having a whistle with him and on the other hand, he is always found keeping more than 70 percent of his own body, hanging outside the vehicle inviting a serious trouble, but by doing so he feels, he is going to have more and more passengers, a greedy man thus has a great risk.
These days, we watch, a lot of efforts and preventive actions by the traffic police for ensuring, the safe driving on the busy roads, this would be a further credit for the organization if above said suggestions are also taken care of on an extreme priority.
Yours etc….
