Plea to JKPSC

Sir,
Please refer to Hilal Ahmed Ganie letter ‘Plea to JKPSC’ published in this paper on May 23. In this connection I would like to request Chairman JKPSC to speed up the process  for Recruitment of Assistant Professors of Higher Education Department and complete it before the start of selection process for the recruitment of Lecturer 10+2 schools, due to the fact that almost same candidates have applied for both these posts with higher qualifications like PhD/NET/SLET etc. So if the Selection of 10+2 lecturer is made earlier as is being done, so that top merit candidates will get selected as lecturer 10+2 and again when the selection is made for Asstt. Professors same top merit candidates will get selected as Asstt. Professors and they will resign from 10+2 Lecturer cadre and this will create further problems in Education Department and almost all posts of 10+2 Lecturers so recruited will fall  vacant again and it will take another two or three years to fill them. It is, therefore requested that the selection of Asstt Professors should be completed as early as possible and thereafter the selection of 10+2 lecturers should follow. It is pertinent to note that the problem of unemployment is taking very serious turn and those in the age group of plus thirty years are victims of depression and confusion. Moreover, the KAS Examination pending for the last two years may also be conducted as youth in J&K have no other option but to look for Govt job. The Recruiting Agencies should take a sympathetic view to provide jobs to the unemployed as they are their own children.
Yours etc…
