Of power projects

Sir,
There are issues which are more of political in nature than being economic or commercial. Many feel with the level of unstisfactory realisation of power tariff across the state, especially from areas in the valley, the demand to handover these two power projects to the State appeared political in nature.
Though the previous as well as the present State Governments have been pressing for the transfer of these two power projects to the State, the Central Government  has not seen any merit in the case and thus refused the transfer saying no special status could be considered in such cases to any state as all states are governed under the rule of profit sharing by the stakeholders and no state could ask for a special category in profit sharing.
It may be mentioned here that the State Government should rather press for constructing new mini-hydel projects to harness power potential of the State.
Besides, those power projects that are already with the State Government should be managed well to ensure proper electricity supply to all the three regions of the State.
The regions are experiencing power shortage which is affecting normal lives of people and has also affected the Industrial sector in the State.
Yours etc….
