With reference to news item “T2 exams waived off” published in this newspaper on March 8, 2015, I would like to say that this is the right decision taken by the Education Department to waive off examination of closses upto IX and XI in Winter Zone area Schools. In this connection I would like to request the Education Minister to waive off T2 Examination upto 8th class in Summer Zone Schools of Jammu Division also due to the fact that these students equally suffered academic loss in September floods, rains and also for months due to border firing. It should also be noted that in Summer Zone area is not limited to cities alone but it has schools in most remote backward areas. So Education Department should give serious thought to this humanitarian problem and T2 Examinations upto 8th class in Summer Zone Schools of Jammu Division should also be waived off like Kashmir Division for the sake of justice.
