Players show promise in District Level JKCA Premier Cricket C’ships

JAMMU, June 22: Players showed promise and displayed skill in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Cricket Championships, being played at various district venues in Jammu province.
The Championships are being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), under the overall supervision of retired Judge Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Members, JKCA Committee of Members.
At Subash Stadium Udhampur, Spartan drubbed Latti Cricket Club by 4 wickets.
Latti scored 154 in 28.4 overs. Niaz Malik top scored with 53 runs. Suresh Jamwal took 3 wickets for Spartans.
In reply, Saprtans chased the target in 19.5 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Rajat Singh top scored with 58 runs. Rashid Kanth took 3 wickets.
Suresh Jamwal took 3 wickets.
At Sports Stadium Kathua, Youngster XI defeated Kathua Balounce Junior by 48 runs.
Youngster XI scored 205 runs in 30 overs. Himanshu played a brilliant innings of 86 runs.
In reply, Kathua Balounce Junior bundled out for 157 runs in 25.1 overs. Sethu top scored with 27 runs. Shittal took 3 wickets from Youngster XI Kathua. Himanshu was declared as the man of the match.
At Police Lines Rajouri, Young Star XI Rajouri beat Super King Dhangri by 34 runs. Young Star scored a big total of 275 runs. Vikas Singh scored a magnificent century, while Randeep Singh contributed 72 runs to the total. Sukaran Sharma took 2 wickets from Super King Dhangri.
Super King, in reply scored 241 runs in 28.2 overs to lose the match by 34 runs. Yogesh Shrma and Ankit Kesar scored 69 and 65 runs, while Shashi Pal took 3 wickets for Young Star. Vikas Singh of Young Star took 3 wickets.
At Sports Stadium Reasi, Bhawani Katra Cricket Club defeated Pouni Cricket Club by a huge margin of 113 runs.
Bhawani Katra Cricket Club scored 227 runs in 25 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Arjun and Shiva scored 57 and 55 runs to the total respectively. Mohit and Opinder took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Pouni Cricket Club bundled out for 114 runs in 24.1 overs. Jugal top scored with 39 runs. For Bhawani Katra, Rinku and Anshuman bagged 3 wickets each.
At Police Lines Ramban, Kabbi XI defeated Rajput Brothers by a narrow margin of 12 runs.
Batting first, Kabbi XI scored a modest total of 139 runs in 19.3 overs. Adnan top scored with 51 runs. Ravinder and Mashqoor took 4 and 3 wickets for Rajput Brothers respectively.
In reply, Rajput Brothers scored 127 runs to lose the match by 12 runs. Sandeep scored 78 runs. Adnan and Mousib captured 3 wickets each for Kabbi XI. Adnan was adjudged as the man of the match.
At Sports Stadium Poonch, Kuniyian and YCC defeated their rivals in easy contests.
In the first match, Kuniyan Viper defeated Amjad Cricket Club by 60 runs.
Batting first, Kuniyan Viper scored 211 runs in 25 overs. Zaffar top scored with 62 runs, while Nishu contributed 52 runs to the total. Touqeer and Kumal took 3 wickets each from Amjad Cricket Club.
Amjad Cricket Club managed to score 151 runs in 21.1 overs, thus lost the match by 60 runs. Abhimanyu scored 29 runs. Sunny took 4 wickets from Kuniyan Viper.
In another match at Sports Stadium Poonch, YCC defeated Bedi Cricket Club by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Bedi Cricket Club scored 106 runs in 20.3 overs. Inderpal top scored with 41 runs. Abid bagged 3 wickets from YCC.
In reply, YCC chased the target in 16.3 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Amandeep was the top scorer with unbeaten 45 runs. Dhawan took 2 wickets from Bedi Cricket Club.
The Championships are being held under the patron age of JKCA Administrators namely Justice C K Prasad and Justice Rifat Alam while the Championships are being held under the chairmanship of Chief Exeutive Officer (CEO) of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Aashaq Hussain Bukhari.
