Play ‘Vansh’ staged

JAMMU, Aug 13: Hardeep Dance and Cultural Society here today staged a play ‘Vansh’ which was based on female foeticide.
The play highlighted that in Indian society female child is considered as social and economic burden on parents and this remains the dominant reason to kill the girl in the womb while little awareness is there about negative aspect of this act in future.
The play further showed that female sex ratio in comparison to the male is falling alarmingly and if the situation will remain same there will be great imbalance and problems to human beings will increase.
The artists who performed in the play were Shashi Bhushan, Ajay Kumar, Shalini Parihar, Esha Sharma, Kanchi Khajuria, Rubina Kalotra, Tatvaga Bharagv, Ajay Sharma and Yasir Shah.
