PK to hold world wide protest on Refugee Day

NEW DELHI, June 17: Panun Kashmir (PK)  held a meeting here in NCR-Delhi today to discuss the strategy and arrangements for upcoming world refugee Day protest march being held by the KP organization world wide. The meeting took an overall review of preparations being underway at respective places within and outside the country for the coming June 20 World Refugee Day event.
Among other things that came under focus was to formulate a strategy to highlight the issues of human right violations, ethnic cleansing & genocide of ‘internally displaced’ Kashmiri Hindus rendered refugee within their own country.
The Participants reiterated their resolve to continue their peaceful struggle for reclamation of minority Kashmiri Hindu community’s lost homeland in their place of origin as envisioned in Margdarshan resolution of December-1991. Among those who addressed the gathering included Dr. Shakti Bhan ,  Ramesh Manvati and Vijay Tikoo.
Observance of the ‘World Refugee Day’ protest march, worldwide , by “Internally Displaced” Kashmiri Hindus assumes much significance going by the apathy of the powers that be towards the IDP Hindu minority community even after spending more than a quarter of a century in forced exile away from their ancestral homeland, said Mr Manwati.
Torchlight processions and  meetings well be  held simultaneously  at various places within and outside the country including  at Jammu, Delhi, Bengaluru,  Mumbai, , Pune, Jaipur, Dehradun, Ambala , Chandigarh etc. besides overseas in USA, UK, Africa etc, he added.
Among many prominent organisations and personalities supporting the event include,  M. S. Bitta, former Minister and current Chairman, All-India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF); Advocate Sharad Trivedi, National President, Brahmastra and Prof (Dr.) Beni Prasad Agarwal, former Indian Ambassador and current Chairman, Association For Asia Union and Asia-Pacific Cooperation and Pt .Mange Ram Sharma ,Chairman, World Brahmin Federation. Prominent KP organisations AIKS, Kashmiri Samiti Delhi and Kashmiri Hindu Cultural Welfare Trust (Bangalore) are also supporting this Panun Kashmir global initiative.
