JAMMU, Dec 23: Reiterating its demand regarding division of Kashmir province to create a centrally administrative Union Territory of Panun Kashmir (PK) on North and East of river Jehlum for the rehabilitation of internally displaced Hindus of Kashmir, Panun Kashmir today fully endorsed the demand of granting Union Territory status to Ladakh and separate statehood to Jammu region.
“Division of Kashmir to create a UT in Kashmir is an imperative necessity to defeat the religious fascist war being waged by Pakistan in J&K”, PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo told reporters at a press conference here, today.

They said the opposition of the entire spectrum of so called mainstream leadership of Kashmir to the proposition of giving Ladakh province a divisional status and building of a University in Leh has once again demonstrated that polity in Kashmir has shunned even a symbolic commitment to secularism, equality of opportunity and development.
The PK leaders said that any effort to correct the present situation of J&K behaving as Muslim State in the territory of India is being opposed tooth and nail by Muslim leadership of Kashmir which is acting as a Muslim monolith. “J&K has to cease to be a Muslim State if India has to survive as a secular nation”, they added.
Agnishekhar and Chrungoo said happening s in Kashmir show it glaringly that the Jehadi mindset has penetrated deep into the folk psyche and has polluted the minds of even women and children.
They said the mass mobilization in Kashmir Valley to disrupt action of security forces against the terrorists are actually mass Fidayeen suicide -murder campaigns. “Kashmir is in the grip of life hating forces who are promoting a totalitarian way of life”, they added.
Emphasizing on necessity to contest the regressive politics dominating all shades of political spectrum in Kashmir, the PK leaders said that Government should bear in mind that fascist movements have to be defeated intellectually to liberate the people from its grip.
The recent events showing linkage of terrorists operating in Kashmir with separatist sympathizers in Punjab should serve an eye opener to Government of India, they said, adding the separatist establishment is spreading its subversive tentacles across India and to believe that trouble in Kashmir is an isolated and localized phenomenon will prove to be fatal for the nation.
They said PK is continuing its efforts to educate the people of India along the length and breadth of the nation about the threat posed by Jehadis not only to Kashmir Valley but to entire nation as they are spreading tentacles of the Jehadi war all over the country.
PK leaders Pran Koul and Daya Krishan were also present in the press conference.
