JAMMU, Apr 2: Pannun Kashmir (PK) criticized former Chief Minister and NC vice president, Omar Abdullah for raking up a redundant issue of autonomy of J&K State. In a sharp attack on the NC, the convenor of the party Ravinder Jalali reminded Abdullah that much of milking has been done to the holy autonomy cow and it has dried up now and can not be milked for ever.
He said whenever NC is out of power, the father-son duo rake up only dead issues, which have become irrelevant with the passage of time. President, Panun Kashmir, Vijay Bhat said that had the Abdullah been serious on the autonomy issue right from beginning, it would have matured but since the Abdullahs` are out of power that is why these issues which have become dead with the passage of time, comes to forefront. “I would like to remind Omar Abdullah that why his grand father accepted the Chief Ministership in 1975 after Sheikh -Indira accord after remaining out of power from 1953 to 1975. It means that all these years have gone waste.
Moreover when he or his father Dr. Farooq Abdullah was in Central Government, why they did not raise this issue but since they know for sure that these are no issues but do matter when election are around the corner making it an emotional appeal to the people of Kashmir, otherwise what is left in autonomy, who else know better than Abdullahs`.
Dr. Abdullah as well as his son Omar is charging the PDP and Mehbooba of diluting the sanctity of Autonomy or Article 370 but the fact of the matter is that for majority of the period after independence it were the Abdullah’s, whether Sheikh Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah or the former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, who were ruling the State whether singly or in coalition with Congress who are responsible for the erosion of special provision which was of temporary in nature and would have been no more by this time but all parties including national parties as well, wants to milk it and keep it alive.
Ravinder Jalali further said that Kashmir Centric political parties can fool one person at all times or all people for some time but not all the people for all the times. Now the people are matured enough to understand the game and that is why people are for the development of State and not to fall prey to the autonomy ghost who have been made redundant by the Abdullah’s themselves.
