PK committed to Margdarshan resolution of 1991: Koul

JAMMU, Sept 7: Panun Kashmir (PK) held a meeting here, today under the chairmanship of its secretary, Bihari Lal Koul. During the meeting PK paid tributes to thousands of their brethren and security personnel who laid down their lives defending the integrity and security of Indian nation and also lauded the historical legislation of annulling of Article 370 and reorganization of J&K State.
It made an appeal to all community members including KP employees, community run institutions, students, semi government employees private entrepreneurs and business community members to suspend their work totally on September 14 being observed as Martyrs’ Day by the community.
The meeting asked business community members to keep their business establishments closed on the day while it urged the employees to go on mass casual leave to express solidarity with the community languishing in their own country as exiles for last three decades.
It while deliberating about this year’s Martyrs’ Day observance said the programme will be conducted under the leadership of Bihari Lal Koul as programme coordinator.
Addressing the meeting Bihari Lal Koul said that PK is committed to Margdarshan resolution of 1991.
He said PK has already started area wise meetings and door to door campaign, distribution of hand bills and messages as well as personnel active contacts with the community men to ensure larger participation in the programme and take its struggle for separate homeland within Valley in accordance to Margdarshan resolution to its logical conclusion.
