PK acted as vanguard of Indian interests in Kashmir: Dr Ajay

JAMMU, Sept 26: Panun Kashmir held a public meeting in Jagti Displaced Camp to enlighten the Kashmiri Hindu community about the impact of capture of power by a terrorist regime Taliban in Afghanistan- its geo strategic and security influence in Kashmir.
Dr Ajay Chrungoo, chairman Panun Kashmir while speaking on the occasion emphasized that PK is a political movement not for power but empowering the politics of community in exile, asserting that this is the only movement in the history of Kashmiri Hindus which has survived three decades acting as the vanguard of community and Indian interests in Kashmir.
Dr Chrungoo laid stress on the political education stating that PK is always steadfast in sensitizing the community and nation with latest happenings and their political impact. Terming the presence of Article 370 as the continuation of Pakistan in the territory of India, Dr Chrungoo said the persistent narrative building by PK in intelligentsia and political circles for last three decades led to the Constitutional changes on 5 August 2019 paving a way for genuine freedom of the community.
Dr Chrungoo expressed his apprehensions on the advent of Taliban in Afghanistan cautioning Government in general and the community in particular.
Speaking on the occasion Daya Krishen Koul, vice chairman, PK emphasized that the community needs to ensure that the seventh historically recorded displacement of the community from Valley turns out to be last, and it is his organization which will ensure non refoulement.
Bihari Lal Koul, organizing secretary, revealed that PK has reconstituted the Jagati unit for dynamic and smooth functioning of the movement. Announcing the appointment of Kuldeep Razdan and Pyare Lal Pandita as the coordinators, and Ravi Ji Raina, Bitu Ji, M L Padroo, as secretaries, Bihari Lal Koul announced that every two lanes will have one incharge.
Pintoo Jee, noted social activist in an emotional address said that PK was in his blood which is the only way ahead towards a dignified return of the community to valley.
A K Sadhu warned that community that clandestine but regulated efforts are being made to send KPs back to Valley without addressing the core issue of displacement. He said that Panun Kashmir has to play a bigger role today in sensitizing the masses. The programme was anchored by Bushal Lal Bhat.
