Jahangir warriors wins title of 4th Champions Trophy Dalgate

Srinagar, Sept 26 : Jahangir Warriors defeated Royal Star Buchpora by 10 runs and won the title of 4th Edition of the Champions Trophy Dalgate-2021, played at TRC ground here today.
The tournament was organised by the Cricket Fraternity Dalgate wherein about 32 teams from different parts of the valley are taking part in it.
Winning the toss Jahangir Warriors decided to bat first, and scored 255 runs for the loss of all wickets in the allotted 30 overs. Imtiyaz scored a quick 80 runs off 44 balls while Zahid Dar scored 43 of 28 balls for Jahangir Warriors.
Mahfooz Khan and Samiullah Baig took three and two wickets respectively for Royal Star Buchpora.
Chasing the target, the Royal Star Buchpora team managed to score only 244 runs in the allotted overs and thus lost the final by just 10 runs. For Royal Star, Zahid scored 54 runs and Rayees Nazir 53 runs. Skipper Muneeb Manaf and Faisal took three wickets each for Jahangir warriors.
Imtiaz has been named Man of the Match for his quick runs while Zahid has been named Man of the Series for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
Majid Dar, an official of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, attended the award ceremony of the final of the tournament as the chief guest.
At the award ceremony, cheques of Rs 40,000 were presented to the winning team and Rs 20,000 to the losing team. Apart from distributing medals among the players, cricket equipment has also been provided to upcoming players.
Meanwhile the Station House Officer of Police Station Kothi Bagh Mudasir Nazar gave 500 rupees to the winning team for their best cricketing.
