JAMMU, Jan 24: A Vaishno Devi pilgrim from Uttar Pradesh was found in unconscious condition at Railway Station, Jammu this morning and later he died in a hospital.
“The deceased was identified as Shambhu (65) son of Hunnar, resident of Mirpur (Jaunpur) in Uttar Pradesh,” an official of police station GRP Jammu said. He said Shambhu was found in unconscious condition from Platform No 1 in the morning after which he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment but he passed away there in the evening.
The official said that the body has been shifted in mortuary room of the Hospital and family members of the deceased have been informed.
