UDHAMPUR, Sept 13: Water Works PHE Employees Association held a protest here.
Amid slogans the PHE workers assembled at Krimchi and held protest. The protest was led by Som Nath, Senior Vice President, PHE Employees Association, Jammu Province.  The protesters criticized the Government for not releasing their pending wages of last 40 months.
While speaking, Som Nath said that the workers are waiting for their wages for the past 40 months, which is a matter of great concern. He asked the Government to consider the genuine demands of the workers.
He also demanded regularization of workers, release of pending wagers, mplementation of Minimum Wages Act, fulfill the shortage of staff, change of designation, convey Departmental Promotion Committee meet and implementation of 7th Pay Commission.
Som Nath warned to intensify their protest if their demands are not fulfilled at the earliest.
He also appealed to all the associations of the PHE Department to remain united to the genuine demands redressed.
Among others, who spoke were Suraj Parkash, Dinesh Kumar, Prabhu lal, Janait Ali, Amit Sharma, Balbir Singh, etc.
