PHE workers discuss problems

JAMMU, Mar 22: Public Health Engineering  (PHE) Employees Welfare Association  discussed long pending issues of the cadre here today.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Balwinder Singh, the members discussed the long pending issues and problems of the employees.  The members criticized the State Govt for its failure  to regularize the  daily wagers/ temporary employees  despite assurance given by the Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu on the floor of the State Assembly.
They said  that many workers have rendered services more than 10  to 15 years  but they are still facing exploitation. They have not been paid their wages for the last more than two to three years. The members also demanded early conduct of DPC of all cadre,  preparation of  seniority list  and  enhancement of wages of temporary workers.
The meeting was also attended by B S Pinka, Balbir Rahi, Ravi Kant, Rakesh Kumar, Amrik Singh, Sat Pal Singh and   Rajesh Kumar.
