PHE workers’ deputation meets Dy Chairman LC

POONCH, May 6:  A deputation of  daily wagers of the PHE Department including ITI  diploma holders and CP workers from district Poonch met the Dy Chairman Legislative Council, Jehangir Hussain Mir and apprised him of the issues of the workers.
The deputation of ITI diploma holders and CP workers led by Rauf Ahmad Banday during meeting with the Deputy Chairman Legislative Council projected their genuine issues. The workers told him that the CP workers who have  given more than 15 years of valuable service in PHE Department are deprived off their monthly salaries for last 36 months and the ITI diploma holders have  not been paid for last 5 months. The genuine demand of the deputation was regularization of their services in the concerned department.
They further told him that the persons who have donated their land for the construction of water tanks, sump tanks or for other matters related to the department have not been consumed in the services as per the promise. They asked him that for the same purpose their whole Divisional body is on ‘Kaam Chhor Hartaal’  for last 57 days.
After listening to their problems and demands the Deputy Chairman assured them of his full cooperation in this regard. He said that strike should not go beyond law and order problem. He assured the deputation that he will take up the matter with higher authorities. Ashwani Sharma, Mohammad Rafiq, Ravinder Singh, Mohammad Farooq, Rajesh Sharma, Shahid Ahmad and Rafiq Sheikh also joined.
