RAJOURI, Oct 16: A PHE worker died after he fell into a water tank in Koranka (Kandi) area of district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that one Mohd Suleman (32), son of Mohd Misri, resident of Hubbi village in Koteranka Tehsil was working as a daily wager in PHE department. At around 07:30 hrs when he was on duty of supplying water to village Hubbi and Kaller, he fell into water tank and died on the spot.
After some time Mohd Bashir, his real brother also working in PHE department went to see him as he did not return home for long. He found his body floating in the water tank and informed SHO Kandi and other family members. SHO along with Police party reached on spot. The police removed the body to Kotranka hospital for postmortem and started inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC.
