PHE Minister targets his own deptt

JAMMU, Mar 6: PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Minister Sham Choudhary today targeted the officials of his own department especially Communication and Capacity Development Unit (CCDU) for “complete mismanagement” at a function organized by them at Suchetgarh to spread awareness about water and warned stern action against them if such a mistake was repeated in future.
Addressing the function at Suchetgarh, his Assembly segment, Sham Choudhary said he was totally dissatisfied with arrangements made for the gathering.
“The function has been organized to spread awareness about the water. But in humid conditions, no arrangements have been made for drinking water for the gathering. Instead of giving water to the people, we are taking out whatever water (in the form of energy) they have in their body,” a visibly upset Sham Choudhary remarked in his brief address at the function.
He warned that if such a mismanaged function was organized in future, he will not spare the organizers.
“My department, organizers and those connected with it will be held accountable for the mismanagement,” he warned.
Apologizing to the people, Sham Choudhary said he felt sorry for the inconvenience cause to them.
“I feel sorry for inconvenience to the people. I have never seen such a mismanaged function,” he said in a fit of anger.
