UDHAMPUR, July 20: Following transfer of lone doctor posted in Primary Health Centre Badhota in Panchari tehsil, this hospital is closed for the last 20 days and the patients are suffering.
Up in arms against the Health Department, the aggrieved villagers of adjoining Dhandi, Kousal, Chai and Loudhra held a protest demonstration.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the Health Department and demanded immediate posting of doctors in the PHC to make it functional.
The villagers informed that two posts of doctors have been sanctioned for the PHC but only one was posted there. However, the only doctor was also transferred to other place 20 days back with the result that this PHC is now laying closed for the last three weeks.
The villagers threatened to launch a violent protest against Health Department if the PHC is not made functional by immediately posting doctors there.
