Pharmacists protest for redressal of their issues, demands

JAMMU, Sept 5: Jammu Kashmir Govt, Pharmacist Association today held protest demonstrations though out the State to draw attention towards various demand pertaining to Pharmacists and in support of Haryana Government Pharmacist.
At Jammu, the protest demonstration was held under the leadership of Sushil Sudan, President Jammu Kashmir Govt Pharmacist Association, who appealed the Government and concerned higher authorities to resolve the major issues of Pharmacist so that the Health Services could be taken to the mark of perfection.
The protesting Pharmacists were demanding DPC at par with Government Medical College / Drug & Food Control Organization in the pattern of Executive order and promotions strictly as per seniority, enhancement of entry level grade of Pharmacist from 2400to 4200 as per the Central Government, running grade for Pharmacist after rendering 5,10,15 years of services as per existing practice in the department and upgradation of the posts of Pharmacist as Sr Pharmacist, Supervisory Pharmacist, Head Pharmacist ,Block Pharamcy Officer and District Pharmacy officer, etc.
The protesting Pharmacists raised slogans and also extended full support to striking employees of Govt Pharmacist of Haryana who are on strike for the last one month for their genuine demands.
Others, who addressed the protesting Pharmacists, included Shaffket Hussain, S R P Singh, Surinder Choudhray, Bhadur Singh and Raman Anand.
