JAMMU, May 25: A meeting of J&K Post Graduate Teachers Association was held here today under the chairmanship of Naresh Kumar Sharma, for highlighting the demands and issues of the cadre.
The meet demanded early release of promotion lists as Lecturers in all Science subject by ignoring the promotion to those who have obtained PG Degrees through Distance mode, which are not recognized.
The meet also urged the Government to cancel the controversial promotion list of 1193 teachers as Masters through DPC held in February 2014 as more than 400 Masters had managed promotion on the basis of fake B Ed degrees.
The meeting was attended by Paranjeet Singh, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Shakti Kumar, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Anchal Singh, Rao Ravinder Singh, Prem Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Ravi Dass and others.
