JAMMU, May 25: Former Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and PDP general secretary, Sartaj Madni has said that PDP is committed to address all issues of the Kashmiri Pandits (KPs).
He said that PDP, being a real representative voice of the people, has formulated its policies and programmes by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all religious and ethnic groups of Jammu and Kashmir to ensure inclusive growth and equal development.
“With the support of all sections of the society, PDP is pursuing its inclusive agenda of peace, progress, communal harmony, brotherhood and equal development”, Mr Madni said while interacting with group of Kashmiri Pandits, who met him at PDP office this afternoon.
A group of Kashmiri Pandits led by M K Bambroo, president Anantnag-Narbal Parbhandak Committee met Mr Madni to discuss problems being faced by the community.
Reminding the delegation about steps taken by the former Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to solve problems of the KPs, Mr Madni said PDP is following vision of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who had pioneered and implemented agenda of equal growth and equal opportunities for all sections of the society.
“PDP Government under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti has already started the process of transformation to change destiny of the people of this State”, he said, adding, “Support of every section of the society is must to establish a new system in the State”.
He said that PDP is committed to safeguard the distinctive cultural, social and religious identity of the minorities including Kashmiri Pandits. He ensured that process will be initiated to restore the composite diverse society of Kashmir. He claimed that PDP will create favourable conditions for reconciliation and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit community.
