Petroleum dealers to observe strike

JAMMU, Oct 14: On the call given by All India Petroleum Dealers Association, the Jammu and Kashmir Petroleum Dealers  Association has decided to observe strike from October  19 in four phases.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of  Anan Sharma. Senior members  including Devinder Batra, Rakesh Mahajan, Rahul Gupta, Amit Dutt Sharma were also present.  About sixty members were present in the meeting.
It was unanimously resolved to take up the matter with regard to the enhancement of commission with the Central Govt, transfer of  tender procedure, toilet service for customers  etc.
As a part of All India level token strike programme, the J&K unit of the association also decided to observe  black out  on October 19, 2016 from 7 pm to 7.25 pm; again black out on Oct 26, 2016 from 7 pm to 7.25 pm; no purchase of fuel from on November 3, 2016 and no purchase/ sale of fuel on November 15, 2016.
Anan Sharma,  secretary All India Petroleum Dealers Association  and president J&K Patroleum Tankers Owners Association  declared that   in view of the call given by All India body,  the J&K unit has also decided to tender notice for observing strike and protest to press the Central Govt to settle their long pending demands.
