Peter elected as vice president Dalit Christian body

JAMMU, Dec 18: S Peter, former Political Advisor to then Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, and chairman of J&K Christian Dalit Society, has been elected as vice-president of the newly constituted National Christian Dalit Council of India.
According to a press release issued here today, the body was constituted recently at a meeting of the Christian leaders from across the nation, held at Union Capital, New Delhi.
The council members elected were B Danam IAS (Retd) former Principal secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh as chairman–cum–president.
The other vice-presidents elected on the occasion included: A B Paul from Jaipur in Rajasthan and Jerry from Karnataka.
S S Waghmare from Maharashtra was elected as general secretary of the council while E Vallabdas from Tamil Nadu was elected as secretary of the youth wing of the National Christian Dalit Council.
