MUZAFFARNAGAR (U.P.), Nov 11: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that people of Uttar Pradesh are yearning for change and are restless to get rid of the misgovernance and corruption prevailing under the Akhilesh Yadav regime. He said, the only viable alternative before the people is Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has evidently proved to the nation, its commitment against corruption and at the same time, its priority for good governance with public accountability.
Speaking at different spots enroute during the “Parivartan Yatra” of BJP in the Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha constituency today, where he was accompanied by the local MP and union Minister of State Sanjiv Balyan, Dr Jitendra Singh said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has demonstrated unique vision and courage of conviction through the decision to demonetize the currency. This will not only put a check on black-money and corruption, he said, but more importantly it will also help in checking the illegitimate transaction and funding of terrorism in this country, particularly in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
Over the last two-and-a-half years, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the Modi government at the Centre has abundantly demonstrated its will to initiate innovative measures which are pro-farmer, pro-poor and pro-youth. Unfortunately, however, some of the States including Uttar Pradesh have failed to implement these schemes to the optimum extent which has deprived the common people, particularly youth, of all those benefits which are available in other parts of the country.
Striking a political note, Dr Jitendra Singh said, BJP has not only emerged as the largest political party in the world with over 11 crore membership, but it has also set an example of absolute inner-Party democracy with no place for family lineage or dynastic succession. On the other hand, political parties which have primarily relied on a single family or dynasty, have shown their inability to sustain themselves viably, he added and said, the present ruling Party in Uttar Pradesh is also one such distinct example of this phenomenon.
Calling upon the people to reach the polling booths on the day of election, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the public mood in Uttar Pradesh is overwhelmingly in support of BJP and it is now the responsibility of the Karyakartas to ensure maximum percentage of voting possible for a decisive mandate in favour of BJP.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the Modi government at the Center has put the country on a fast-track of development and if we have a BJP-led Government at Lucknow, this will offer better coordination between the Centre and the State. Citing the examples of States like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat, he said, BJP model of governance and growth is there before us and all that we need to do is to replicate it in Uttar Pradesh.
