POONCH, Dec 15: Member Legislative Assembly Surankote, Ch Mohd Akram urged Central Government to restore Statehood at the earliest, otherwise, a peaceful movement will be started to get it back for which he asked people to be prepared.
While addressing public meeting in far flung area of his constituency Hari Budha, Ch. Akram said that we are not weak people and know how to get the Statehood back but we wish to get it with respect as promised by the Central Government at many platforms that Statehood will be restored followed by delimitation and elections and now it is time to get it restored at the earliest.
Pertinent to mention here that during his visit, MLA Surankote listened many grievances of the people of Hari Budha including road connectivity, water and electricity for which he promised people to redress them. He said some developmental works were stopped in the area following disputes, the same were discussed and they will get started shortly.
