RAJOURI, June 15:   The people from Doongi village led by Sarpanch and other Panchayat members held strong protest demonstration against the  staff of the local Govt High School, Zonal Education Officer  Doongi block  and the Chief Education Rajouri today.
They were protesting against the zero percent result of  the School in Class 10th  examination this year. The result  was  declared by the State Board of School Education recently.  The people led by Sarpanch Raj Kumar came out on the road near school and started protest demonstration this morning.   BJP Mandal Pardhan,  Sanjay Kumar, the  parents of the children besides general public joined the protest.
They raised loud slogans against Headmaster of the School,  Mohd Qasim, ZEO Dharam Pal and CEO Rajouri Altaf Hussain.  They alleged that Headmaster of the school  mostly remained  absent from the school throughout the year. He used to give reason to the people that he had been deputed to CEO office. Many occasions he used to slip away from the school on the pretext of meetings  or official visit. With this the studies of the students of all classes were badly hit.   The teaching staff was also not regular in the absence of the Headmaster. Moreover, the teachers did not take much pain in teaching the students. Therefore,  not even single student out of over 50 could get through in Matriculation examination this year.  On earlier occasions, the result of this school always remained better, they maintained.
The agitating people blocked the road for about 45 minutes  and the movement of traffic remained disrupted.  They urged upon the Director School Education Jammu  Smita Sethi  and Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar take serious note of the issue and take action against the Headmaster and concerned staff besides Zonal and District Education officers responsible for it.
