RAJOURI, Aug 28: The residents of Kheora and adjoining villages today blocked Rajouri-Thannamandi road and held protest against GREF authorities for the worst condition of Thannamandi road.
The people of area came out on the road at around 11.30 am and started protest near Kheora. They were shouting slogans against GREF authorities and District Administration. The people alleged that condition of Thannamandi road has deteriorated but concerned authorities have not bothered to improve it. They also raised slogans against local Administration for turning a blind eye towards the issue.
Later, Police and civil officers reached the spot and assured the agitating public to take up the issue with the concerned GREF authorities. The people then lifted dharna at around 1 pm. The movement of vehicles remained disrupted for about one and half hours.
