SUNDERBANI, Aug 28: The people from six Panchayats of Beri Pattan area today held protest demonstration at tehsil office complex here today.
Led by several Sarpanchs including Ram Lal, Raj Kumar and Hari Shoor besides local leader Vipin Pal, the villagers from half a dozen Panchayats demanded that they should be attached with Sunderbani Sub Division and not Nowshera as it was far away as compared to Sunderbani.
The villagers alleged that their Panchayats are being attached with Nowshera and they strongly oppose this move. Later, they submitted a memorandum to Tehsildar Nowshera for the State Revenue Authorities. After staging protest for about two hours they dispersed and warned to intensify agitation if the demand was not accepted.
