POONCH, Aug 9: The people held a protest at Bufliaz town, demanding shifting of road alignment from main market at Bufliaz.
The people told that if road is not shifted from main market Bufliaz, almost 200 shops will be damaged and these shopkeepers will have no other option or alternate land. They pointed out that Rajouri to Bufliaz road is under construction and market of Bufliaz is coming in the alignment of road and if survey of road is partially changed whole market can be saved.
These people have no other option and they will became jobless. They demanded that if road is constructed as per existing survey then these people should be provided alternate place to construct shop.
Later, BDC Bufliaz Shafiq Mir reached the spot and assured people that matter will be taken up with LG and District Administration and every possible effort will be made to save the market.
As the land behind Bufliaz market is state land and road can be constructed easily. He told that if the road will be constructed from main market than the Government have to provide alternate land for market at a proper place. He was accompanied by Tahira Tabassum- Sarpanch Bufliaz and social activist- Sharafat Khan.
