RAJOURI, Apr 5: People from Gurdan Balla and adjoining hamlets today held protest against the CAPD authorities and blocked Rajouri-Poonch road for about 45 minutes.
The villagers were raising slogans against the CAPD authorities for not providing ration and also preparing incorrect lists for the supply of ration under NFSA. The people alleged that many names have been deleted from the lists while many entries were found to be wrong. No official from Revenue or CAPD is taking responsibility for making correct entries, they said.
The people raised barricades on the road and disrupted the movement of traffic for about 45 minutes. Later, SHO Rajouri along with TSO reached there. The TSO assured protesting villagers to make corrections in the lists and also assured that ration supply will be made smooth shortly. The villagers then lifted dharna.
