KATHUA, Aug 13: The heavy rain fall this evening which resulted into water logging at Hatli Morh near here evoked a strong protest from the residents of Ward No 14, 21 and 13 and they blocked the Jammu  -Pathankot National Highway for one hour at Hatli Morh.
The, irate residents raised slogans against administration and NHAI authorities and traffic movement was disrupted on both the tubes of National Highway. The people alleged rain fall turned into cesspools of water and administration has never paid attention to this problem.
They said as authorities failed to solve the problem for many years forcing them to stop the vehicular movement on National Highway. Meanwhile, passengers had to face a tough time due to Highway blockade and had to wait for hours for opening of Highway.
The protestors alleged that the National Highway Authority of India has totally failed to manage the sewerage on Highway which caused the regular logging even in a small rainfall.  Women police reached on the spot and pacified the protesters after that both the tubes on NH were opened for traffic movement.
