UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: Alleging failure of Public Health Engineering/ Jal Shakti Department in providing adequate water supply to them, the residents of Ward No. 20-21 in Kallar area today held a massive protest against the department.
The protestors raised slogans against the PHE Department and District Administration Udhampur. They alleged that with no regular supply of drinking water for long time, people of the area were suffering and their normal life was baldy hit.
They said many times they brought the matter into the notice of the concerned authorities but all remained in vain. Even people staged protests many times to highlight the issue but no action was taken in this regard till date by the concerned officials to address this issue.
