MENDHAR, Dec 4: Residents of Mendhar town including some traders held protest demonstration against the BSNL authorities for the delivery of poor services to the people of this belt in district Poonch.
Annoyed over the callous attitude of the BSNL authorities, scores of local people supported by some traders of the town assembled outside the main BSNL Exchange in the town here today and held a protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against the BSNL authorities in Rajouri- Poonch area of J&K Circle.
The agitators alleged that for the last many months, the BSNL services have deteriorated in these twin border districts. The people have been agitating since long, but the concerned officers never bothered to improve the services. Despite poor services, the consumers are made to pay. They said that many posts were lying vacant and in the absence of staff, the telecom service has gone from bad to worst.
The people alleged that not only Mobile phone or internet/ broadband but land line telephone service is also very poor. They sought the intervention of Chief General Manager Telecom (BSNL), J&K Circle into the matter.
