RAJOURI, Sept 8: The people from Dandani village and adjoining areas held strong protest against PHE authorities on Jammu-Poonch highway at Lamberi in Nowshera sector today.
The locals of the area led by former Sarpanch Lamberi assembled at Dandani Morh near Lamberi and blocked the busy highway. They started protest demonstration against the local PHE authorities. They alleged that water supply to their village has been disrupted for the last couple of days and concerned authorities have failed to restore supplies. The movement of traffic remained disrupted for about an hour.
Later, Tehsildar Nowshera along with AEE PHE reached the spot and pacified the protesting people. They assured to restore water supply within 2 days. Then people lifted dharna and allowed movement of traffic on the road.
