SAMBA, May 24: The villagers of Nichla Gaon in Ghagwal area of Samba district today staged a strong protest against the Jal Shakti Department for water scarcity being faced by the people of the area.
A large number of people mostly women with pitchers and buckets started protest in front of tube well. They shouted slogans against the officers of Jal Shakti for their failure in maintaining regular water supply to the area. They alleged that the tube well is defunct for last three months which has disrupted water supply in the area putting people to many hardships.
