UDHAMPUR, June 8: People of Garhi Rehmbal area hold a demonstration against the District Administration for its alleged failure to remove illegal encouragement from Government land adjoining a temple.
They were raising slogans against District Administration especially the authorities of Revenue Department for not initiating the necessary and appropriate action to evict Government land from the illegal possession of some elements.
They also blocked National Highway passing through Garhi Rehmbal area for more than three hours by burning rubber tyre on the road.
The protesters dispersed off only after Tehsildar Udhampur Chowdhary Mohd Ameen, who was present at the site of demonstration, assured that this controversial matter would be sorted out within days.
