People of J&K badly upset over BJP’s betrayals: Bhalla

R S PURA, Apr 1: JKPCC working president and former minister Raman Bhalla today claimed that Jammu region has suffered a lot under present BJP regime and which will cost BJP seriously as and when assembly elections take place in J&K.
While interacting with prominent persons of RS Pura constituency on Friday, Bhalla expressed concern over mounting woes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that BJP controlled administration in the Union Territory is brazenly indulged in bulldozing democratic institutions. It is all due to the “misdeeds” of BJP that the Jammu and Kashmir has been plunged into an unprecedented crisis and the woes of the residents are increasing with every passing day.
“After 2014 Assembly elections, BJP is directly or indirectly running Government in the J&K and during this period and plunged J&K into unprecedented crisis”, Bhalla said. He said that the BJP controlled Government has bulldozed the system of governance and eroded the sanctity of democratic institutions just to enjoy power.
“This period would be remembered as a period as a dark period when all the democratic institutions were shamelessly bulldozed by the ruling elites just to enjoy absolute power”, he observed.
Bhalla said that without any accountability BJP leadership is enjoying power in J&K so the Party is giving one after another excuse of delaying the assembly elections in J&K. “Instead of indirectly controlling administration in J&K, BJP should participate in the democratic process to establish a popular Government in J&K”, Bhalla stated.
He said that system of Governance has completely collapsed in J&K and the present regime was brazenly indulging in deceitful tactics by ignoring the real issue of governance.“The issue of governance has been pushed to the backburner and those who are at the helm of the affairs have been shamelessly indulging into nepotism and their misdeeds have badly shaken peoples’ faith in the system”, he said.
“The BJP has nothing to show as its achievement”, he observed and added subverting democratic institutions are only noticeable achievements of this Government.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include former MP Rajaya Sabha TS Bajwa, Block presidents Ch Mohinder, Sham Lal Mehra, JKPCC SC Cell chairman Karan Bhagat, Rajinder Singh Randhawa, Charanjeet Chib and Ashok Kumar.
