People must respond to Govt appeals: Manohar

KATHUA, Mar 26: Former minister and president, District Congress Committee, Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today urged all the big business houses, social and religious organist ions to join hands during this hour to fight against Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
While lauding the recent announcement of Rs 7 lakh crore financial package by Govt of India, Manohar said the package will be aimed at helping the poor, take on possible economic distress due the COVID-19 lockdown and termed it as a good step to manage the challenge of a lockdown.
DCC leader further said that such lockdown is the need of the hour but said if the same step could have been taken by Central Govt a month ago and proper screening of foreigners entering the country, then the situation could have been different. He advised and requested the people of the country to cooperate and support the efforts of Government by staying indoors to stop further spread. He also urged the administration to protect people by giving them free face masks, disinfectants and sanitizers during the COVID-19 outbreak.
