BADAUN, Jan 10: After a video of a Border Security Force soldier complaining about bad food they were getting went viral, people here are expressing sympathy with jawans, while getting aggressive against the BSF officers.
Some youth of Nagar Ujhani area in Badaun district have sent a cheque of Rs one lakh to BSF jawan Tej Badaur Yadav, who had complained about bad quality of food served to the soldiers.
President of a social group ‘Gunj’ Rajan Mediratta, along with his associates, have sent a cheque of Rs 1 lack through registered post from his bank account. With cheque they have sent a letter stating that they all are very upset after hearing about the condition of soldiers.
Mr. Mediratta said in his letter that he will continue sending economical helps till Jawans get proper diet. He also appealed countrymen that they should also help the soldiers.
Another member of the group Rizwan criticised the BSF officers’ statements that the soldier who complained is alcoholic and said if Jawans were not getting proper food, they will take alcohol, which is allowed in military. (UNI)
