JAMMU, Aug 7: Former Minister  and PCC vice president, Raman Bhalla today said that people of J&K are eagerly waiting for the return of Congress in the State.
The people understand that it is only the Congress that is capable of creating jobs, feeding mouths, ending alienation, instilling sense of security and realizing ambitions of all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Congress has a chequered history of public service and engaging people in positive pursuits. Bhalla described Congress as a deep rooted mass movement enjoying flawless standing across Jammu and Kashmir. Congress is the only party with credible footprints in all the constituencies of the State”, Bhalla said while interacting with prominent persons as a part of his mass contact programme in  Gandhi Nagar constituency.
The Congress leader exhorted the party workers to get activated and said the political atmosphere enveloping across the State is highly conducive for Congress with people eager to give it a decisive mandate. “ People are eagerly waiting for Congress to return,” he said.
Congress is the natural choice for the people of J&K. There is an overwhelming demand cutting across society for Congress to reassume responsibility for J&K. He exuded confidence that the party will emerge as a force to reckon with in near future. “ I am confident that Congress is poised for massive victory both in the next parliamentary and assembly elections,” Bhalla said and added that the role of Congress in the political empowerment of Jammu and Kashmir cannot be undermined, as Congress awakened the people and empowered them to fight for their rights.
Bhalla said Congress favours an immediate dissolution of the State Assembly and to make the atmosphere conducive for holding early elections in the state. He urged upon the Governor to take some confidence-building measures and ensure that there was zero-tolerance towards disturbing peace in state. Since no political party has the numbers to form the Government and no combination of political parties has staked claim for Government formation, there is no option but to dissolve the assembly, Bhalla said.
